30_lemons, prompt #19. The Gymnasium, or, "Who Likes Short-Shorts?." This is what comes from hearing lectures on Plato and Euripides all week long and then watching Full Metal Jacket.
( There’d been a slight influx in injuries among the enlisted men at Eastern Headquarters, and Lieutenant General Grunman’s idea of addressing the concerns was to compile a list of randomly selected men and order them to test their performances on the boot camp obstacle course. )
