Artist's Notes: For fanart100 prompt #65 "Passing." Quick 20 minute pencil drawing done in an attempt to lift myself out of an attack of melancholy. And yay, I'm 1/10th through the hundred.

Draw a Thon 2007

So, a few weeks ago I had the awesome fun of going to Draw-A-Thon, an awesome 2-day art festival where models pose in really amazing theatrical poses with odd bits of costume. There's live music, everyone is drawing/painting/sculpting/writing/etc all around, punk music is playing... they did three three-hour themed segments each day (with themes such as 'naked football' :D) with a few models in long poses, a few in short poses, and some doing gesture.

I filled about 3 drawing pads in the 2 days I was there. XD I didn't complete many pieces, mostly I was just experimenting with different media and styles or taking poses to use later in fanart. Most of the finished pieces I did complete were on 14x17 paper, so I can't upload them here. But I am supplying some sketches/drawings/etc from my smaller notebooks. ^_^
