Artist's Notes: A while ago I found a great theme list on a Japanese fanart site: Twenty Havoc Changes, which is basically a list of different costumes to dress Jean up in. :D I translated the list with the help of Nifty global translator, a Japanese dictionary, and the aid a long-suffering friend, and in the end I think I got most of them at least sort of right. XD Anyway, I spent a nice two nights over Christmas vacation doing these sketches.

1. Bartender
Mmm, yummy umbrella drink. Slurp, slurp.
2. White Robe (Doctor's Robe)
This was one translation I wasn't 100% on, but I think it means a doctor's white coat. Jean would be one of those doctors who tells you what not to do, then goes out and does it himself and outlives all the healthy people by 20 years.
3. Festival
When I was in Japan, I was lucky enough to see the kanto festival in Akita City, where men balance giant lanterns in a huge parade to celebrate rice harvest. So I put Jean in the costumes they wear in the parade. :)
4. Work (Clothes)
Another one I wasn't sure of. I'd seen a Japanese artist use a construction worker theme for this prompt, so I went with that. Don't ask me why he's holding that wrench while he's hammering. Work hard, country boy.
5. Salaried Worker
Jean looks at pr0n on the company's time.
6. Demon
This one was kinda fun to draw. XD I just kept adding demon traits.
7. Nurse
Crotch bulge and hairy legs. <3
8. Kimono
Jean is not amused.
9. Boy
Cute little country boy. Duckie!
10. Pirate
Probably my favorite of these drawings. I really like his parrot.
11. Yukata
I liked this one a lot too. Nice and peaceful.
12. Chinese Dress
There's those hairy legs again. WORK IT, HAVOC. YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL. <3
13. Gothic
Kevin Smith made me associate weird arm motions and goths in one of his interview DVDs. Hence the pose. I also really like his little soul patch.
14. (School) Uniform
I should've drawn him in a female school uniform. Would've been more interesting.
15. Cowboy
I tried to make the horse's mane match Jean's hairstyle.
16. Cook
Yummy eggs. This spells out as "cock," so the translation threw me for quite a loop. I found an article on Japanese Wkipedia that made me pretty sure it really meant "cook," though.
17. Ethnic Costume
I picked a sort of Thai costume. Yay.
18. Host
Not sure what kind of host this implies, so I picked a 70's game show host.
(EDIT:skinship informed me that "host" actually refers to a male escort. Aha!)
19. Ninja
It's a little hard to see in the scan, but you can tell it's a Havoc-ninja because there's a few strands of his spikey hair sticking out of the mask. XD
20. Military Uniform-Mourning Dress
I wonder who he's visiting. ;_;
So those are the 20 Havoc Changes. Feel free to take the list (or get someone who actually knows what they're doing to translate it XD) and use it for your own far more beautiful fanworks. ^_^
